Easter... and recent photo projects

Last year we had Eric's brother, Adam, and his family over for Easter. They have a little girl Megan's age and the girls were just barely walking last year, but we did an egg "hunt" anyway and it was fun to watch the little ones waddling around the yard. We had them over again this year and now they have two cute girls. Our church block is from 1-4 and is pretty hard on Megan, so it wasn't really a huge surprise when Megan went back into the house after collecting three eggs. I didn't think that one picture of her in her dress with her basket was too much to ask for, but apparently it was, so all I got was action shots and not great ones, but that's kids for you!

I've been getting back into taking pictures this month too. I am lucky to have a very talented photographer friend who has taken me under her wing and we've planned to do something photography related almost every week until I have the baby in July. For our first "shoot", Trista had her cute 4 year-old niece come over to her house. She was more than willing to pose for us, something that I'm definitely NOT used to when trying to get pictures of Megan. It was fun and definitely a learning experience with using studio lights. My friend, Joslyn, had her baby late March and I was able to take pictures of her sweet baby girl last week. Joslyn had some fun props at her house and the baby did great. Newborns aren't the easiest to work with (although better than toddlers since they can't run away), so it takes some patience, but well worth it. They are just too sweet and taking these pictures made me anxious for my own to come!

President's Club 2009: Cabo San Lucas

Eric is very fortunate to work for a great company that offers great perks and rewards. One of them is a President's Club every year for the top producers. Eric qualified in June last year and we've been looking forward to this trip ever since! The weather in Cabo was perfect - 80 degrees everyday and we had fun in the sun while it was snowing at home in Utah. We even beat the Spring Break rush! I do have to give a BIG thanks to my sister, Jill, for spending her spring break watching Megan. Without her, I don't think this trip would have been possible. Love you my Jiller Bean!

We ate WAY too much food and drank TONS of pina coladas!

We went on a snorkeling trip on our second day and had the added bonus of seeing some whales too!

There was one day on our trip when I don't think we left the pool except to eat lunch. It was really nice to get two full books read. (Thanks to Rachel for the recommendations!)

The White Party: We had the big President's Club celebration dinner at The One and Only Palmilla Resort. I don't think I've ever been inside a nicer resort. (It even smells fantastic outside because they pump a fragrance into the air!) It's the place where the movie stars stay when they are in Cabo. I didn't want to leave! We ate outdoors on a deck overlooking the ocean and it was as delicious as it was beautiful! (Thanks to Haily Kandell for such a wonderful dinner and trip and for hiring a photographer for the night!)

We went into town for some tacos and shopping on our last full day. It was nice to just walk around, enjoy the scenery, and pick up a few souvenirs.
