Winter Activities

I bought Megan a Play-Doh set on a whim for Christmas, not really expecting that she'd love it, but hoping she would. We got it out earlier this week and it was a complete hit. She played with it for over an hour! For anyone who knows how busy that little is, an hour is HUGE. I was able to clean up the kitchen and make dinner without the tv being on and without someone whining at my legs. It was great.

This is my first winter with a toddler and I'm rapidly running out of indoor activities for Megan to do. She kind of likes to color, but it doesn't last more than 5 minutes. I'm very grateful that she loves the Play-Doh, but need some more ideas. We're starting to watch too much tv and I'm not so excited about that. What do your toddlers, particularly 2 year olds like to do (crafts, games, etc.)??? Also, for you Utah moms, what are some fun indoor places to go? I think we are hitting the January blues and are in need of some new ideas!

Knocked Up

Yep, that's right, I'm pregnant. That's one of the reasons for my lack of blogging lately. I'm about 15 weeks and finally starting to feel a little better. I'm due the first week of July and am counting down the days until the ultrasound. That's when all the madness and planning begins with me. I'm already planning Megan's big-girl room, although not so excited about moving her out of her crib. Unfortunately, that might have to come earlier than I thought because she threw herself out of her crib yesterday at nap time. She was really mad that it was nap time and decided to take matters into her own hands. She was standing with her blanket in hand when I got to her room, so no permanent damage I guess. For such a small girl, she really has a temper. Megan got twin babies for Christmas along with a stroller/swing/crib set. We talk about babies a lot and she really likes to take care of hers, so I'm hoping she'll be ok with a real baby at our house. She really liked it when her cousin, Grace, was here and didn't even get jealous when I held her. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We are really excited about baby #2 and can't wait to know if it's a boy or a girl. We'd be happy with either - although Eric is really pulling for a boy!
